v0.0.60a - The Bigbugfix Update
Sup, MilesDoodles here.
This project shouldn't even be public right now, but I just want to show up some stuff about it (and why is it so different from the trailer)
First of all, the team (Miracle Light Works) had a lot of creative differences from 2019 to 2020, leading the project straight to development hell, so, the rest of us decided it was for the best to either change the team or cancel the game.
So, after a long break (from May 2019 to September 2020 and from October 2020 to April 2021), the rest of us decided to give the game a new look while keeping the spook.
Now, about the previous version (v0.0.58a), it wasn't tested at all, it is the first version to have the weapon mechanic (which is useless for now) and, thanks to this, a lot of bugs appeared, which took me (the dev) the entirety of yesterday and part of today to fix it.
After a code cleanup and several minor changes/improvements, this build is far more playable than the previous one.
v0.0.60a Changelog
New stuff:
-You can't pause/use the inventory while interacting
-You can't interact while on pause/using the inventory
-Heather stops any movement while displaying text for a while to prevent text overlapping
-If the player interacts with anything while running, the game defaults the player as "not running" to prevent animation errors
-Weapons are reset every time you die/go back to the Main Menu (if the game resets after completing the available scenes, it doesn't reset, causing an engine confusion and leaving the weapons you had on the previous playthrough)
-Fixed slopes
-Fixed a note mispell
